Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I am a private-pay practice and do not participate directly with insurance companies.

Private pay allows therapy to be centered on your needs—not insurance requirements. Insurance companies determine what services they consider "medically necessary," and may limit the number or type of sessions they'll cover. Choosing private pay allows us to focus on your goals, maintain greater privacy, and create a treatment plan based on what works best for you rather than what an insurance company approves.

Many clients choose private pay because it allows for greater privacy, more flexibility in treatment, and removes many of the restrictions that insurance companies can place on mental health care.

I strive to make the process welcoming and accessible, including submitting out-of-network insurance claims on your behalf for potential reimbursement.

What are your fees?

Session fees can vary based on the session type and length. Our fees range anywhere from $125 - $250.

Payment is due at the time of your appointment.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes! Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can typically be used to pay for therapy services. I recommend checking with your plan administrator if you have questions about your specific coverage.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is extremely important.

Everything discussed in therapy is confidential except in situations where I am legally or ethically required to break confidentiality, such as concerns involving immediate safety, suspected abuse or neglect, or when required by law.

We will review confidentiality in detail during your first appointment so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! My practice is completely virtual.

Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space anywhere in New Jersey.

Where are you licensed?

I am licensed to provide therapy to clients located in New Jersey, Florida and South Carolina via Telehealth.

What can I expect during the first session?

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.

We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your history, your goals, and what you hope to get out of our work together. There is no pressure to share everything immediately—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As progress is made, many transition to biweekly or less frequent appointments. Together, we'll decide on a schedule that best supports your goals.

What if I need to cancel?

Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice may be subject to the full session fee unless there is an emergency.
